Psychology is a discipline which is rapidly developing new insights into the brain functions which underpin consciousness, organise behaviour and underlie disorders such as mental illness.
All the honours degree programmes extend over four-years of full-time study. We offer single honours and joint honours programmes with a broad range of subjects in Arts, Science and Social Science, including English, Management Studies, Languages, Mathematics, Statistics and Computing Science. All of our degrees are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) for the graduate basis for registration.

Postgraduate research opportunities
We offer research training leading to the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Students undertake a substantial research project in a specific area of Psychology under the guidance of one or more supervisors. The Ph.D. degrees are examined by thesis and an oral examination.
